GENERAL
I agree that Hyer Quality Detail (HQD) may use photographs of my vehicle for any lawful purpose, including marketing, illustration, advertising, and/or web content.
I hereby authorize, HQD, to operate the submitted vehicle on streets, highways, or elsewhere for purposes of services and/or delivery, solely at my risk. I release HQD from any and all liability or claims arising out of, or related to, any loss, damage, or injury, as a result of services performed.
Once services are agreed upon, any changes that take place will incur additional charges at full retail cost. Based on the nature of the work completed and the use of consumable materials and labor, HQD has a strict NO REFUND policy. Customer hereby agrees to remit payment in full for any and all services agreed upon, verbally or written, prior to the vehicle being released. Failure to pay/ chargebacks will result in immediate legal action, including but not limited to a mechanic’s lien. In the event that the customer is dissatisfied with any portion of the services provided, the customer agrees to abide by the solutions/professional recommendations set forth by management and agrees to bring the vehicle back in for service remedies. In the event that the customer chooses to pursue other options, they agree it is done so at their own risk and cost. Customer agrees that in the event of any serious issue, prior to legal remedies, a third party mediator will be required.
PAINT CORRECTION
LIMITATIONS
I understand that HQD cannot guarantee full removal of contaminants or paint defects. Customer understands not all paint defects are surface defects, certain issues such as, solvent pop, water, bug, or chemical etching, and rock chips are embedded defects that fall outside the scope with which paint correction is effective. In some cases, damage may surpass the level with which correction is feasible. In order to retain the integrity of your clear coat the process may be reduced in such areas. In the case of older vehicles or vehicles whose paint is extremely damaged, there is an inherent risk when attempting to bring the paint condition back, due to not having enough clear coat material left to work with, which, to no fault of HQD, may result in clear coat failure. I acknowledge HQD will not be held liable for complications resulting from aging/insufficient clear coat, and/or pre-existing damage that was present, but not visible, prior to work being completed. Furthermore, HQD cannot guarantee, and holds no liability for, the outcome of work completed on non-OEM paint, as quality of resprayed substrates varies widely.
WATER SPOTTING
Though in many cases water spotting can be resolved, water spot removal is never guaranteed due to the nature of this type of damage. Depending on the level of minerals and acidity in the water, the length of time with which the water remained on the paint, the condition of the paint, and the temperature outside, water spotting may be reduced or even visually removed, but may resurface at a later time (phantom water spotting).
RECOMMENDATIONS
It is highly recommended that after a vehicle has been paint corrected, a ceramic coating is applied to add back material that has been removed, in order to best protect the achieved result and the overall paint integrity.
TOUCH-UP PAINT
PAINT PROTECTION FILM
PPF WARRANTY
PPF is warrantied for 10 years against yellowing, staining, cracking, blistering and delamination through the product manufacturer Xpel, and is fulfilled at their discretion. Customer acknowledges PPF is not warrantied against damage resulting from accidents, objects or rocks that hit or penetrate the film, or standard wear and tear. Certain ceramic coatings can cause serious damage and deterioration to the self-healing top coat on PPF films. Damages to the film resulting from UNAPPROVED coating brands are not covered under the Xpel warranty.
CURING PERIOD
PPF is a highly tensioned, wet application, as such, moisture, bubbles, lifting, and shrink back are normal during the curing period. Your new PPF will take up to 3 weeks to fully cure depending on weather conditions. Customer understands that PPF installations require minor touch-ups, and agrees to return for an inspection within 14 DAYS to get those standard touch-ups completed.
PAINT CONDITION WARNINGS
Customer acknowledges the inherent risks associated with PPF application and removal. Customer is aware that the design of PPF is for OEM factory paint. The client waives and releases HQD from any warranty or damage claims where a product has been applied to a non-OEM paint surface. Additionally, paint may lift on OEM paint if improperly prepped and painted in factory. By authorizing HQD to proceed with the install, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against, and agrees that HQD will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the installation process.
For PPF removal, there is a risk of paint lifting or damage, due to weak paint or clear coat underneath, and/or aged film adhesive. Because HQD has no way of knowing the condition of the paint under the film, customer agrees that HQD will not be held liable for paint damage of any type, as a result of such removal services.
Customer acknowledges they have discussed with HQD any previously applied, or existing coatings, on their paint prior to PPF application, as ceramic coatings may impact the effectiveness of PPF adhesion.
ROCK CHIPS, DAMAGE, & PITTING
Rock chips or damage will look similar to contamination or a bubble, due the unevenness of the painted surface. We do not recommend touch-up paint on small chips or pitting due to the aesthetics of the install thereafter.
INSTALLATION & PRODUCT LIMITATIONS
PPF kits are computer cut using auto-cad based software created by Xpel in cooperation with automotive manufacturers. Though our installs are well beyond industry standard, with modified plots for advanced coverage, the customer understands that PPF is a sacrificial layer for your car, not a completely invisible product. Although we strive to wrap all edges and reduce seaming, there are limitations that prevent us from being able to do so in every situation.
Though we strive for the highest quality in our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of dust contamination, texture, silvering, and/or minor imperfections are present in every PPF application. In addition, pre-existing flaws, scratches, and rock chips on the paint are often much more noticeable after the PPF is installed. Used and older vehicles will have more imperfections due to exposure to the elements and age.
Debris build-up over time on exposed edges/seams should be anticipated. This will be more visible on white/light-colored vehicles. Partial installs will have more noticeable debris across the hood due to the length of the exposed edge. There is no warranty or reapplication of the film due to debris build-up, as it is considered normal wear and tear.
HEADLIGHTS
Headlights have an exterior clear coat layer on them that is commonly known to fail with certain automotive manufacturers. Headlight damage/aging can be greatly reduced with use of PPF, however, delamination may occur during installation (rare) or during removal. By authorizing HQD to proceed with headlight film installation or removal, the customer hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against, and agrees that HQD will not be held liable.
BADGE & DECAL
Most badges are not intended to be reused, though we do our best to reuse them, they may require replacement at the owner’s cost. Badge and decal removal may cause damage to the substrate it is applied on. Damages include, but are not limited to, paint lifting, scratches, ghosting, and paint discoloration. By authorizing HQD to proceed with the removal, customer hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against, and agrees that HQD will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the removal process.
VINYL WRAP
******Vinyl Warranty
PPF is warrantied for 10 years against yellowing, staining, cracking, blistering and delamination through the product manufacturer Xpel, and is fulfilled at their discretion. Customer acknowledges PPF is not warrantied against damage resulting from accidents, objects or rocks that hit or penetrate the film, or standard wear and tear.*****
CERAMIC COATING
Curing Period
Customer understands ceramic coating applications require a 3 day dry period (vehicle CAN NOT get wet), and a NO WASH/NO WIPING DOWN period of 14 DAYS, and that proper maintenance techniques are required to uphold the warranty. Additionally, coatings are not warrantied against scratching or water spots, and may require annual inspection to fulfill warranty requirements. Customer acknowledges that warranties are offered through the product manufacturer Ceramic Pro and are fulfilled at their discretion.
Curing Time
Your new Ceramic Coating is dry and safe to drive upon pickup, but does require 14 days to fully cure. Similar to fresh paint, during this time your coating will soft and more susceptible to damage. DO NOT wash your vehicle until the curing process is complete. Your vehicle can only be hand washed thereafter to maintain coating performance. Machine or tunnel car washes will void all warranties. You may see cloudy patches during the curing period, no need to worry this is just extra solvents escaping but trapped on the surface, all touch ups are simple and will happen on the first wash. required first wash which is NOT a full detail, rather an opportunity for us to get a second look at our work and ensure the coating is performing properly.
Water Spots
Ceramic coatings are NOT water spot-proof. As such, coating manufacturers do not cover water spots under their warranty terms. Washing vehicles with unfiltered water, especially in the sun, can cause water spot stains. The client understands that the longer the water spots are left on the vehicle, the harder it will be to remove them. HQD will not be liable in the event that water spot damage does occur.
Condition of Vehicle
It is recommended that all new or used vehicles have paint correction done before being coated. The client acknowledges that the ceramic coating on uncorrected areas may be less effective than corrected areas. By waiving this additional service, the client understands that the coating may be less effective on areas that have not been painted corrected, and understand that we are effectively permanently sealing in the current paint condition, including any existing flaws.
Wet Sanding
Wet sanding is used to remove the outermost layer of a vehicle’s clear coat. Because of the risks associated with wet sanding, HQD only uses this technique when there are only two options for the affected area: wet sand or repaint. Therefore, HQD assumes no responsibility for repair to the affected areas should wet sanding cause additional damage. It is highly recommended that after a vehicle has been wet sanded, that a ceramic coating is applied to add back material that has been removed, in order to best protect the achieved result and the overall paint integrity.
Ceramic Coating Limitations
HQD’s ceramic coatings are professional grade silicon dioxide/or titanium dioxide based products that provide protection against UV damage, makes your vehicle easier to clean, and helps to slow and reduce the aging process. I understand that the coating is not scratch-proof. It is recommended that vehicles get paint protection film (clear bra) on bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors before coating to prevent rock chips. Coatings are only as good as the substrate there on, coatings are a sacrificial barrier, as such they do not guarantee the absence of staining, etching, swirls, etc, what it does guarantee is that these forms of damage will never enter into your original surface material, therefore providing excellent protection from future paint failure. Any such forms of damages that occur to your coating are, most times, very simply removed with a light polish and reapplication of the coating.
Interior Coating
If any liquid or substance gets on the upholstery, it is advised to clean it up as soon as possible to prevent stains from occurring. I understand that the longer the substance remains on the upholstery, staining may occur. There is no warranty on the staining of your vehicle’s interior.
Wheels Off Coating
If any brake dust or road debris is on wheels and calipers, it is advised to clean it up as soon as possible to prevent stains from occurring. I understand that the longer the substance stays on, staining may occur on wheels and calipers. Wheel coating is not recommended for bare aluminum wheels, therefor bare aluminum wheels will not be coated. If you want to proceed with the coating, there will be no warranty given on bare aluminum wheels. There is a 2-year warranty for wheels and calipers. The client is responsible for re-torquing the wheels to vehicle manufacturer torque specifications.
Maintenance & Annual Inspections
We recommend washing your vehicle bi-weekly. Annual Inspections are recommended after the install date to ensure that the coating has been maintained and cared for properly. There is a charge of $248 (car), $298 (SUV / Truck), $325+ (oversized) for annual maintenance service during the duration of the coating warranty and including hand wash, decontamination, and SIO2 ceramic coating.
TINT
Customer understands tint applications require they do not roll their windows down for 3 DAYS.
Customer understands tint is a WET application, and as such, does pose a risk to your vehicle’s electronics. HQD does everything in its power to prevent excess moisture from entering areas with electronics, including the use of moisture barriers, we however, cannot guarantee and take no liability in the event of an electronics failure. Customer understands and assumes all risks associated with tint installation.
After completion of a new window film, it takes 2-3 days before rolling down or cleaning the windows. It will take 3-4 weeks to fully cure depending on weather conditions.
Black Dotted Edges
Most cars have a black ceramic edge on the side and rear windows; these ceramic edges are either straight and flat or will have a dotted edge. The black ceramic edges are quite thick on most cars which will prevent the window film from sticking to the area between the dots, resulting in a whitish-looking strip trimming the glass, unfortunately, the effects are unavoidable.
Shade / Color
There are no refunds due to the shade/color once a client chooses and film is installed. The appearance of 3M Crystalline will have a unique hue due to the infrared rejection technology in the film. The color differences are also present if polarized glasses are used in the vehicle.
Imperfections
Though we strive for perfection in our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of dust contamination and or minor imperfections are present in every window film application, also pre-existing flaws or scratches and metal deposits on the glass are often much more noticeable after the windows are tinted. Older vehicles will have more imperfections due to age and dust accumulation.
Windshield Film Installation
There will be minor imperfections present in every windshield installation. It will be easier to see due to the film being installed on the front windshield. Do not apply any decals, or windshield accessories on the windshield for 7 days. There will be no refund or warranty coverage on the rainbow effect due to wearing polarized sunglasses.
Arizona Law
Arizona law requires the front windows to meter at 33% VLT, therefore our 35%VLT film is the best option to stay within those legal limitations. Customers installing VLT not approved by Arizona law hereby release HQD from all associated liability.
WINDSHIELD PROTECTION FILM
Brae Windshield Skin is a 6mil exterior windshield protection film designed to help extend the life of your OEM glass by adding a layer of protection from daily wear and tear caused by pebbles, gravel, and other small road debris. It is the longest-lasting exterior windshield protection film on the market due to its TPU base, UV protection, scratch resistance, and hydrophobic properties. However, NO guarantees are expressed or implied, and breakage may still occur.
I understand that windshield protection film is newer technology, and as such, functions well, but is an aesthetically imperfect product. The product currently carries NO warranty and a strict NO refund policy.
While HQD takes every precaution to ensure the best install, there are factors that contribute to the final product that are simply out of our control. Therefore, it is common to have some imperfections in every install. These imperfections may include specks of dust, adhesive distortion, stretch lines, texture, and inconsistencies in the manufacturing of the film.
With that being said, this film is the thickest and most durable protection on the market, and it does a fantastic job at protecting your glass. Our install will be above industry standard, but not imperfection free.
Drying Time
Your exterior windshield protection film will take 21-30 days to fully cure.
Clarity
Windshield Skin is visibly clear and is subject to minor imperfections due to the thickness of the film. Once the film is installed, there are NO REFUNDS due to the appearance/color of the film.
Scratch-resistant
Your new windshield protection is a scratch-resistant film. I understand that the film is not scratch-proof and there is NO WARRANTY against scratches on the film. It is recommended to keep your wipers clean and replaced as needed to prevent scratching of the film. Chattering from your wiper is normal for the first 2-4 weeks.
Hydrophobic
Your new windshield protection film is hydrophobic. It is recommended that you apply SIO2 ceramic coating monthly to prevent less wiper usage. You will receive a SIO2 spray bottle with the installation of your windshield protection service.
Windshield Breakage
In the event of a windshield replacement due to breakage, the Dynoflex film will
be available to the original purchaser for the original vehicle at the cost of $300 for the life of the vehicle.
Imperfections
Though we strive for perfection in our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of dust contamination and/or minor imperfections are present in every window film application. Pre-existing flaws or scratches and metal deposits on the glass are often much more noticeable after the install. Imperfections are much more noticeable since the windshield is the main glass that is viewed out of. There will be no refunds or warranty coverages in the event of a rainbow effect due to the use of polarized glasses/lenses.
Warranty
Dynoflex exterior windshield protection film was created to help prevent cracks and chips due to debris impact but does not guarantee its product from glass breakage. Dynoflex warranty covers delamination, bubbling, and cracking for 12 months from sale and installation of the product.
