Paintless Dent Repair
Paintless dent repair is a dent removal technique used to safely restore vehicles that have been subjected to dents, dings, or creases, back to their original condition without compromising the vehicle’s painted finish.
PDR vs Traditional Body Shop Repair
Traditional dent repair uses body filler to patch and blend dents, rather than repair them. The patch is then sanded and painted to match the rest of the vehicle’s exterior. While this process can make a vehicle look as good as new, it doesn’t address the actual dent in a way that is a sustainable, long-term solution. Additionally, these repairs are often expensive and require your car to be left at a body shop for an extended time.
Paintless dent repairs are very time and cost effective. In many cases, they can be completed in just a few hours. There are two approaches to PDR. The first is to access the backside of the panel, then, using specialized tools, the technician slowly manipulates the metal back into position. The damaged area gets progressively smaller until it disappears. If there is no access to get behind the dent, the approach will be to repair the damage from the outside, using glue pulling techniques. Both methods can be done without any damage to the paint.
For dents and damage that are too severe, and not eligible for PDR, we would be happy to provide a referral to a reputable body shop.
